Australian progressive heavy psychedelic rock trio KHAN return to Europe to preview their upcoming fourth studio album ‚That Fair and Warlike Form // Return to Dust‘. It will be their first time back in Hamburg since supporting stoner/psychedelic rock legends Colour Haze in November 2023. They will be joined by noise/post rock trio OK WAIT.

Melbourne-based trio Khan meld hazy psychedelia and heavy stoner riffs with a penchant for progressive rhythms and almost dirge-like, industrial-scale crescendos. Their songs are lyrically evocative, often exuding a sense of despondency and melancholy. Vocally, they waver from ethereal falsetto and hypnotic crooning to impassioned wailing punctuated by occasional guttural screams. This August marks Khan’s fourth time in Europe after having just toured earlier this year in May performing at Sonic Whip festival in Nijmegen, Desertfest London, Desertfest Berlin and Dunk!festival in Ghent. The upcoming tour will see Khan performing at select shows with REZN (US) and also appearing at Krach am Bach festival in Beelen and Hoflärm festival in Seelbach.

OK WAIT experiment with instrumental music.
The Hamburg trio continues it’s claim to let wordless music say something new. Their debut album ‚WELL‘ already broke from post rock clichés and flirted with noise rock and metal. Their latest album ‚SIGNAL‘ is a departure from traditional post-rock with the band experimenting with a raw and abrasive sound that is both beautiful and terrifying.
